What supplies should I provide for my child?

We provide most things for your child, from craft materials, pencils, colors, notebooks, wipes, milk, meals, snacks and much more. But we do ask for certain things like an extra set of clothes, a bottle, diapers, a pacifier. And this is because there are many types and brands of these products. So we prefer that the children continue using the ones they usually use. You can also find a list with more details under We Provide.

Does the staff provide potty training support?

Of course. You as parents should let us know when your child is entering that stage, so we meet to discuss and agree on the planned potty training process, is it a seat that attaches to an adult toilet or is a small separate potty? Some children potty train using a kid-sized toilet. Others prefer to sit on the regular toilet with a potty seat on top.. Potty training in daycare is only successful when parents and educators work together and are on the same page.

Do the children get time outside?

Every day. Children here will have the opportunity to go outside for 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on the weather. Some days it will be in our fenced yard where we have different types of games and a slide. And other days they will be in a park. You can find more information about what activities children do under Activities.

How many children attend the daycare?

Our home daycare is for a small group of children, that is, a maximum of 8 children. Sometimes the number of children will vary because some children may only attend three days, others every day and so on. But it will never be more than 8 children.

What’s your sick-child policy?

If your child gets sick, they should stay home. This is because some children are easier to get sick than others. So, it is our responsibility to keep the other children free of diseases. When by order of the doctor your child is already well or in much better health, they can return to attend the daycare. If your child gets sick while here at the daycare, we will call you and update you on your child's health, and you must pick them up to take them to the doctor or home.

How, and how often, do you sanitize the toys and materials used by the children?

Every day after all the children were picked up by their parents, we take 2 to 3 hours to clean, wash, and sanitize, everything in detail, each of the toys, furniture, materials, and any object/thing that children use.
